Jennifer Garner was born on April 17, 1972, from Houston, Texas but was born to be raised in Charleston, West Virginia. William John Garner worked as the chemist of Union Carbide. Her mother Patricia Ann taught at a local college. To follow in the footsteps of her father, she graduated in chemical engineering. To pursue her acting dream, she decided to move in New York and try her attempt at the world of Hollywood. In addition to appearing in Broadway plays, she also worked as a server at an adjacent restaurant. Her husband of the first time Scott Foley met her on the television show "Felicity," where she was a guest. Her breakthrough came in the action thriller "Alias."
