Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. Her first Tony Award was given to her for the role of Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors and actors in stage and on screen throughout her entire career. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford is currently working on the film of Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust which also features Sarah Paulson. This film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. The film will premiere in March 2023. Ashford returns to Broadway and play alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This show will be produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which produced Hamilton. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the scandal which included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the national security crisis. Ashford appeared for two seasons in the CBS popular comedy B Positive. The show was created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary actor Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No stranger to Broadway Ashford won the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her role as Essie in You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway performances. Ashford, who was brought up in Denver and now lives in Los Angeles and New York.
