Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who became Comaneci's coach later in life, discovered her at age six. The year 1969 was the first time she competed in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She won in 1970. At her first international competition in 1972, she took the top spot having won three golds. In her very first competition at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals, as well with one silver. She was the first woman ever to perform the backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment industry as a performer as figure skater. Along with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol's first job was in entertainment during her teenage year. In her early years Carol was an ice figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured the ice skating of which was followed by musical performances.
